Abbey Gagne is a midwest based artist working in fibers and painting. In 2019 she graduated with a BFA  from the University of Cape Town and in 2021 received an MFA from Stellenbosch University.

Bold and tactile mark making allows her to create her own take on painting, piecework and collage. Inspired by her life in the Midwest, Abbey’s work is filled with layers mirroring the joy, complexity and sensitivity of being human.
